Removing Infinity Lock on Industar 22

I have an Industar 22 I'd like to mount on my 'new' M2. However, the LTM to M adapter (from CV) stops against the infinity lock, and prevents it from either focusing to infinity, or away from infinity (depending on where the lock is when the lens is screwed into the adapater).

How may I remove the infinity lock?

If it is similar to the ones on the collapsible lenses, you can unscrew the top (the knob) from the base part. You will have to get a grip on the screw bit in the base. That can be done with lens calipers.
Pay attention to the spring inside!
