Hi guys, I am trying to find instructions on the "FULL" dissassembly of the Yashinon 1.8 45mm lens on my Yashica IC. I have gotten all the way down the the shutter mechanisms, but have been unable to get any deeper. I am trying to expose the aperture blades/assembly for repair, one of the blades is stuck, as you can see in these pictures.

I've read somewhere about there being pins that guide the aperture blades breaking, not sure if that's the case. I can't seem to figure out how to get down to them. DO you have to remove all that "gearing" and Shurtter Mechanisms to get to the blades?

Can you point out the "retaining ring? Are you talking about removing the rear part of the lens, the black ring/screw around the edge of the rear lens?

Thanks for the help man, although I'm still trying to figure out exactly what your refering to. Here's a picture, maybe that will help.

You talking about removing this element, (in red).

I've been working on removing that piece, i thik it unscrews, but I've broken 1 spanner and 2 inprovised tool trying to rotate the assembly out.

Great idea, the nail polish, unfortunately, I think it's frozen up, it's not moving. I'm just ripping up tools now. Sucks to get this far then fail.

Too bad.

Thanks for your help though. I'll deffinitely have many more questions. I've got a Yashica 35 CNN Wide coming, and a Yashica Elsctro 35 GSN coming in the mail, so I'll have my hands full getting them working.

Great forum here, suprised I missed it for so long.
