Or the less bizarre and more logical solution that there could have been more than one folder on the card to calculate a bogus total number of actuations from. Sometimes the answer can be in a simple disguise.

Just as a matter of interest, what is the link between the folders on a card and the number in the file name? Does the M9 start with "1" every time it sees an empty folder?

That's a great bit of software. Just used it to determine my M9, of which I am the second owner of, has 3300 actuations on the clock!

To calculate the actual cost of repairs, take a piece of string; measure it; and calculate the cost at $100/inch -- but be aware that the repairer may use a different piece of string...

As far as I can tell, no. It's definitely a bizarre and confusing naming scheme.
