Repairing a Konica S shutter

Hello everyone.

I was recently gifted a very old Konica S. However I managed to get the shutter stuck. It's a Copal SV shutter so I think I accidentally engaged the self time whilst on M flash sync. I can't find info on repairing or pulling apart this camera online, the only things I find are for Konica Auto S cameras.
If someone could help me with this problem I'd be very grateful.

The camera's shutter button mechanism is in the post-release cycle, but the shutter itself hasn't actually fired, which locks everything in place.

In my KAS2 I removed the front lens group which gave me access to the shutter blades. Gently prodding the blades (and adding a few drops of lighter fluid) eventually caused the shutter to fire. Unlocking the camera. The self-timer included.

It has been possible for me to advance the film lever and press the shutter button but as expected nothing happens. I'll try to remove the front lens element.

Letting a few drops of lighter fluid soak into the shutter might also kick things loose without actually having to open up the camera.

Getting to the blades on the KAS2 was a matter of removing the retaining ring on the front around the lens, this allowed the name ring to come out and that will give you some room to grab and unscrew the front lens unit. Not sure if this is a 100% similar with the Konica S though

Whilst trying to pry of the front element with some force the self time suddenly started, now it's in the off position and I can move the M-X switch back and forth again but the shutter still won't fire. I can't however get to to the shutter itself as the front element won't come off. I remember that my Canonet Ql17 had the same problem and that I also had to remove the front ring and element in order to get to the shutter. This one won't budge unfortunately.

EDIT: the light meter also started measuring again. I have the feeling that I could rescue this one if only I could get to the shutter.

I have just finished a complete strip and rebuild on one of these cameras, identical except fot the 1.8 lens instead of the 2.8 you have. Just remembered, there's a tiny grub screw which stops the lens from unscrewing. It's at the bottom of the lens, if you look at it from the front.

Thanks for the tips! Even though the screw was not in place there is a hole in which I assume the screw you mentioned goes. Despite not being in place the front element won't budge. Furthermore I seem to have screwed up the focusing helicoid as the lens doesn't want to focus anymore, the focusing tab and ring feel as if they are cemented in place now. Kind of frustrating.

You should be able to remove enough through the front rings To expose the speed ring.
You need a pin spanner to unscrew the retainer and the name ring
A wide blade for your spanner will unscrew the front lens group...if only the front ring turns remove that, set aside and find a collar for your inside spanner, unscrew front group.
Remove filter ring to get to speed and aperture control rings, lift off and find screws holding shutter cover plate(can't remember how sync post is done ?lift off speed cam nd cycle timer gear train, pull, clean and molly reinstall if blades are clean and free.

If blades are oily, shutter should be split, or disassembled and cleaned ultrasonically But that will require the top , bottom and front will need to come apart to remove the shutter retaining ring and rear glass, rfdr is easy to reset if needed.
