any suggestions for a source to purchase ready-made bellows to fit a 1940's Ansco 5 x 7 field camera ?
Bellows are 6 inches square at the front x 8 inches square at the rear, and have about 16 inches of draw. Originals are black.
The original bellows are very crisp and have pinholes at just about every corner.
Other than that, the camera is quite nice...

Thanks for the info Nokton48. I checked and they custom build bellows, in a tentatively good price range, at least for 8x10. I will have to send them photos and measurements to get an actual quote.

I would like to know how Gortite turns out for you Guys.
I will need to replace soon one of my Plaubel Makiflex bellows.
Removing it and sending it overseas does not seem like a good option for me.

I reached-out to them and already have received their quote form, which I have to fill-in and return.
In addition to the Ansco 5x7, I also have two Rochester View 8x10 cameras with crispy bellows, although one has been patched enough to work, but not enough for me to realx and trust it...
For what a recent 8x10 or 5x7 costs, a couple hundred $ for US-made bellows is still cost -effective.
