My camera fell a small distance with the plastic VF attached. It was a fairly soft and cushioned fall, but the delicate plastic foot was no match for the weight of the camera and a part of it snapped off. I attached the broken piece with superglue and it now fits again just fine in the cold shoe, but I was looking for a more reliable long-term solution.
I have emailed Voigtlander (Cameraquest and Photovillage) to see if the foot is a spare part that can be purchased from them, but I thought I'd check on the forum to see if anyone has tried to frankengeneer a home-made accessory foot for their viewfinders.

I have a 15mm plastic CV viewfinder that suffered the same problem - slipped out of the hotshoe and landed on a hard floor.
A friend with a 3D printer replaced the whole foot (in bright yellow). Two screws hold the VF together, and once apart the foot comes off easily. We just took careful measurements of the dimensions, put them into a CAD program called Vision360, and exported the printer instructions.
Cheers,
Peter.
