The replacement boards are fairly commonly failing now. There are 2 M6s at a local camera store with a cooked circuit board, and I know of 2 others. That’s just in an antipodean city of ~1M people. I get the feeling it is a very common failure. The youngest M6 classics are 26 years old. This sounds like wonderful news. But does anybody know of anyone with an M6 needing a circuit board replacement?
Early M6 cameras were notorious for circuit board failure, but I'm reliably told that most - if not all - of those were, in due time, replaced. I'm sure there must be some still out there, but I'm not so sure there are enough to justify the unnamed developer's investment.
Yes, the repair operation is well known. And as @Sonnar Brian points out, there are good reasons for the engineer to keep a low profile. If it’s the same shop, here is their website:

No info on the meter board and not too much personal info although he has two apprentices.
Yes, you may be correct. Now that you mention it, I have seen eBay listings with dead meters in recent years. But those I've seen have been on early M6 cameras pushing 35-40 years old (sr. numbers to ~2 million). The replacement boards are fairly commonly failing now. Is the GR a circuit or just a ribbon cable that fails? This is great news! I am so happy that this tech is now available outside of the original manufacturer.
off topic: I hope someone does this for the film Ricoh GR. I would love to have one, but wary of the ribbon circuit.
Edit - yes, but it's a different failure to the classic, and probably harder too fix, because it's a bridging circuit between the TTL metering and the main metering that fails, but when it fails the whole system becomes inoperable. Are there issues with the TTL M6's board failing?
