Hi,
I have a Dimage Pro that I love dearly and I'd like to get a replacement lamp before the current one dies.
It'll be great if somebody can have one for sale or can someone show me where I can buy one. I've looked around on the Internet and couldnt find anything current.
Many thanks and please drop me a personnal message if you have one to spare.
Cheers,
Dennis

I had tried Dirk at japanexposures.com, but even he couldn't help me with one for the "latest" Scan Multi Pro, which was/is a great unit. No luck elsewhere. That's why I decided to sell mine, which had no problems except the potential bulb issue. I replaced it with a Nikon 9000, which has better parts availability, even tho since discontinued. I also think the Nikon's light source will be less apt to have problems. Who knows, not a happy situation.

There's a Yahoo group for the Multi Pro, and this question often comes up. They are not available, and noone seems to know of a suitable replacement. Occasionally, though, a broken Multi Pro gets advertised, either on eBay or on the Yahoo group. Probably your best bet.

I ended up buying a second Multi-Pro Unit (as a backup) for $25 on Ebay.

I have a Multi-Pro and worry about lamp replacement as others do. I have been considering buying a Minolta 5400 to use for 35mm and saving the MultiPro for medium format scanning only to prolong the bulb life.
Question: does anyone know if replacement bulbs are available for the 5400?

$25 for a back up Multi-Pro unit? Wow!

Yup, for real. From a Goodwill Store in Iowa. Just the basic box, nothing else. But exactly what I needed. For $25.
