Replacing the lens release button on M7

Hello All,

I am trying to get the lens release button on a M7 with M7 Al La Carte style polished silver and looking at the replacement button and the screw, the old button should be like a thumb-nail style screw with plain head.
So I tried to unscrew it(turning it counter clock-wise) with rubber gloves and etc but it would not turn.

Does anyone know how I can remove the lens release button on M7?

I searched for press-and-turn style tool at micro-tools site but did not see any.

hmmm.... no reply...
Does this mean that no one tried to repair/replace the lens release button on M body????
I hate to send it in to have this replaced....

i have an m7 that had a release button that fell out. i sent it to a repair guy and he ended up sending it to leica for repair. it was $37.50 for the repair. i think it's less straight forward than older bodies because of the lock on the release button.

i would just send it in...
