Replacing Vulcanite on III

I've gotten a replacement leatherette for my Leica III from cameraleather.com, the "Vulcanette" style. I'm kind of nervous about doing this. The original covering on mine is not too bad, it's just lost a bit near one lug, and there's a crack in the front... so I'm thinking, if I peel the original off, then don't get the new one on right, then I've shot myself in the foot.
Has anyone re-covered one their III series, and do you have any tips, hints, warnings, etc?

I just removed the vulcanite from an old Leica 90/4 screwmount (the vulcanite's on a cosmetic trim ring in front of the lens mount about 12mm wide). Two chunks were missing and it looked like hell. I followed the instructions on the CameraLeather website and what they suggest worked fine, at least for this lens. It did take several applications of paint thinner (with Methylene Chloride) before all of the vullcanite came up, but it eventually did. I bought some replacement "leather" from Microtools years back that looks pretty good. Overall the job wasn't terrribly hard and I now have a lens that looks much better than before.

As for your camera, if my lens is any indication, if you take your time and follow their instructions, this job shouldn't be too terribly difficult.
