Hi all, last week I was bored for the bad weather, so i took my Kiev II, the Jupiter-8 and the Jupiter-12, and went to do some black and white (Kodak bw400cn) photos to an old little village, destroyed by an earthquake a lot of years ago
... Enjoy!
... Enjoy!

Some good shots there, I especially like the one with the old shoes at the door.

What a treasure trove of images! I'm not one to make favorites, but my personal preference is towards #6: inviting along an entire side, yet dark in the other three corners.

You've managed to convey a great sense of timelessness. Good combination of texture and tone.

Really nice shots. Hard to pick a favorite. I did enjoy #1 and #2 the most I think. But all are enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.

Great shots, KB400CN scans pretty well. What dpi were they at and what scanner. My favorite was the last shot, great angle. Cheers!

Great photos. They work well as a set.

This is what a village with its people having all been kidnapped by aliens would look like as well...
Kidding aside, I like them very much. The last one is my favorite so far.
Could you refine the PP a little bit, and re-post it ? The actual compression leaves big pixels behind.
Yet another proof that "bad" weather and black and white photographies are good friends...

I did the scan at 3200 dpi with the Canon 8400 of a friend, then the postprocessed it with Photoshop CS2 (levels, light/contrast and cleaning) and iPhoto (light points and shadows), and finally resized the image for the web

I hope "terrific" means "good", and not "scary" !!

Depends on how many flying saucers coming from Andromed's galaxy have landed at Balestrino International Airport, seeking a Kiev II desperately.I hope "terrific" means "good", and not "scary" !

I saw one, but was from Alfa-Centauri, they were searching for a man called "Ruben"...
