I'm reposting this because I desperately need a slide holder for a Konica-Minolta DiMage 5400 scanner.

One of the closing clasps on my holder has broken. I can sorta hold it together with bits of scotch tape, but that's not a long-term solution, especially if a piece of tape gets caught in the works.

If you have one you can spare, send me an e-mail to djphoto@vol.com and name your price.

Hi Dave,

I just found a Elite 5400 in a flee market and got it for free, because the seller didn't know what it was. I brought it home and installed the software and it looks like everything works properly! But I don't have the holder, so in the same boat as you.

There is this guy called "renato_santos" on photo.net that is searching for the same FH-M10 holder. It looks like he does quite some 3D printing (http://www.thingiverse.com/3dEz). He is asking for a holder to copy and has promised to release the 3D model for free. Your broken holder must be sufficient for modelling purposes.

Maybe you can work something out with him and then many people can get hold of those holders. He is is North Carolina.

Hi Ronald,

Are you really having trouble running the software? Because that is easy to fix as compared to the hardware issues.

You can simply run Windows XP in a virtual machine on your ordinary computer (or even an older version of OSX if you are on a Mac), and the problem is solved.

I just installed XP on Parallels Desktop (VMWare and VirtualBox are just as good) and redirected the USB device to it. The DIMAGE software detected the scanner, and had it go through he whole self-test. It also allows me to eject. But I don't have a holder to test the rest.
