Just picked up a nice little Retina 11c. Seems to be working and clean. I picked it up for $30 which seems to be a good price from what I have seen. Not bargin basment price but reasonable if its still a goer.

Then lens looks ok - no fungus but maybe some spidering on the edge of the lens. Seems a bit slow from 1/8 sec but it may speed up with a bit of use.

Serial number is 277391. Its a Retina 11c - Xenon C f:2,8 50mm.

The case is reasonable as well. I have never been much interested in Kodaks but I know these are supposed to be respected.

Cant wait to try it. It will get me away from my digital for a while.

Pretty happy with this little Retina. I hope my images do it justice.

Everyone speaks well of the Retinas. The size is nice for carrying. I have a Weltini which is close to the same size, and it is nice to throw it in a bag when I take out a 9x12 so I have 35mm as well. Have you taken any photos as yet?

No pictures yet.
I am still trying to get my head around the light value scale.
Which is funny because I almost exclusivly use full manual on my DSLR.
So I get Aperture v Speed.
But I will give it a go on the weekend.

You can ignore the EV values and just set Shutter Speed first, and then set the F-Stop. You must light the little tab to uncouple the F-Stop from the shutter speed, OR take it off and file down.

The 50/2.8 (and F2.0) Xenon is very, very good- equal to a Summicron of the same vintage.
