I found a Retina 1a last week with the Ektar lens,
cleaned it up a bit and shot a quick roll at the park
just to see if I liked it.
But before I developed the roll I sold it, thinking it
probably wasn't gonna amount to much.
Well, I was wrong... again.
The Ektar lens is a very nice lens with much character.
This is the later US made variant.
I call this snap shot "Cooked Goose" because the poor birds' tongue is lolling out from the heat. Lol
Anyone else have a photo to show using a Retina, please do...

Nice pictures Jack. I was pleasantly surprised in the same way by my IIa Retina. You can always get another one!

Absolutely, and I will... I sure have been burning through cameras lately.
And frankly at the expense of my photography...
I'm not really a photographer these days. More like a cameragrapher.
At the moment I'm hungering for a Medium Format Ektar such as the Medalist or Medalist II.
