When I got my IIIC, I went kind of bonkers getting accessories for it. Actually wound up with some that go with other models, and some that I'll never use. But the thing that held me back from using it more often was the lack of filters. It took me a long time to accumulate a decent set of them (still missing the red), but I had no way to carry them around. Just yesterday though, a case for the hood and filters came in the mail with another hood, so I'm good to go now. Except that the temperature dropped 30 degrees (F) from yesterday, and doesn't plan on getting up much higher than a few degrees. So I'll have to wait till it's warm enough for my fingers to funtion before I use the Retina.

So what I'm wondering about, is how accessorized is your Retina outfit? Did you go all out, or just enough items to make it more useful for your style of photography?

Just a humble IB with 50mm hood and three filters in the leather holder here, but some manuals and brochures came with it. A German price list from the "small c" era is among them. Not counting the cameras and lenses, there are 27 major accessories listed...

Ya, like you I bought too much to go with mine. The most useful accessories are the hood, and the backup hood. I've tried the accessory lenses (I have an 80 and both of the 35s) but found them hard enough to use that I stopped even trying. I find the stereo attachment intrquing but it is probably not very useful. I'm still looking for a close-up set and tripod adapter, though. But as I said... too much accessories. My favorite use of the camera is as a light-weight traveling tool that provides excellent relaibility and image quality.

I have the wide and tele lenses for both the Heligon and Xenon, and one accessory optical plus sportsfinder for them. The T1 close-up lens for the tele lens. Two sportsfinders for the 50mm. Tripod adapter, sun shades and filters. I also have the document copying stand, but have no use for it.

I can't say that I'm a big Retina collector, but I have a couple and like to use them. They are my favourite 35mm cameras.
