Anybody know the register of the Retina IIIc?

I've looked at several lists on google but while the Reflex series is listed I cannot find the IIIc...

I'm sure there was a figure that Kodak worked to when assembling the cameras, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere.

In manufacture the focus helicals would have been set to a standard distance from the film plane and the lens/shutter assembly finely adjusted by the addition of shims as required.

This method would allow the rangefinder to be set up prior to adding the lens and shutter to the body.

Regards, Chris

Since the lens was two part (different front elements screwed into a fixed rear element) and it wasn't a true interchangeable lens camera, it may be that nobody ever tried to figure out the distance...

Actually, since the lens is not actually interchangeable, merely having interchangeable front cells, the concept of a register distance doesn't apply. You can't mount a complete lens on the front of the shutter, only front cells specifically designed to mate with the fixed rear cell.

Well now you've got my curiosity up,why perchance would you want to know this?

I was looking for a starting point for a conversion I am thinking about doing which would involve removing the shutter/len/focusing helicoid from a trashed body and mounting it on an adapter to be used on my Panasonic G1 MFT camera..
