Well-known
I just bought a Retina Reflex S with a 135 mm F4 Schneider-Kreuznach Retina-Tele-Xenar from an estate sale for very cheap, untested.
Surprisingly, everything seems to work great. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to want to infinity focus. I set the lens to point at the infinity marker on the lens, and push the focus ring all the way, but I still can't see somewhat distant subjects completely in focus.
The focus almost settles, but it's not quite there. Other objects in the foreground can be focused on quite easily, but objects like say, the house across the street from mine, the leaves, address number, etc. are blurry.
Is this an issue with the lens or with the camera? I thought that I perhaps had the lens mounted wrong, but I remounted it and it seems to sit correctly.
The Retina Reflex S is the model without the rear lens element embedded in the camera, and the S uses the DKL mount.
