Retina & WWII

When I went to that site it wanted me to register, sign in and etc! Is there another way for me to see the article?

Quite a moving tribute, I must say. Registration takes 1 minute and you can go straight to the article (which is a photo essay)...

Drafted in World War II as a motion picture photographer for the U.S. Army, Phil Drell witnessed many historical events in Europe. In addition to his movie footage, he used his own Kodak Retina camera to document the war. A collection of those images is on display in an exhibit called "Through my eyes" at the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie through May 31, 2007.
