Hey Folks,

My company is sending me back to Paris for 9-10 months beginning in December.

I'm looking for things to shoot, people to hang out with on weekends.

If you have/know of something cool to shoot besides the usual Paris tourist attractions, please let me know.

If you'd like to grab a café au lait and talk about photography, send me a pm and we'll arrange it.

I was just there in September, so here's a few of my shots of Paris and Nice.

Thanks and hope to see you there!

Don

I guess the first thing to remember is that it's Café Crème in Paris, not Café au Lait... :)

But in general... Paris is very photogenic, depends on what you like... I like, for example, train stations... Gare du Nord is gorgeous..

As a single in 20s person I'd like havibg my company send me some time abroad

Sorry I can't give much advice as I haven't been. It's on the list though. Short flights from Barcelona or even train trips make Paris reachable but it will have to be in some future.
I just recently began trying some of the cheap Europe travel possibilities.

Don,

Paris is photographer dream or hell to discover by yourself.

When you will be there, talking to Parisians would open up large photo opportunity depend on what please you.

When we lived in Paris, we loved to get lost somewhere to discover the City.
Each quartier is different from another.
Even in same quartier and some streets not same atmosphere.

To begin with Quartier Latin (rue Mouffetard can be love/hate affair) or Montmartre (no not only Place du Tertre).
Le Marais can be fun.

Just consider photo opportunities as bonus to discover Paris.

Not really a suggestion of places to shoot, but don't miss visiting "La Chambre Claire", a wonderful photography bookshop on rue St-Sulpice. It is well worth spending a good moment there.

Don't forget the photography galleries !

Maison Européenne de la Photographie
Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson
Le Bal
Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume
