revere stereo camera top plate removal?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to cleanup my revere stereo rangefinder mirror and ugly corroded flash contact (what can I use to remove rust? the brown power kind, not the green stuff), does anyone has some instruction some where how and steps to get the top plate off?

also there is this small leaver around the viewfinder seems to be jamming and I dont want to force things incase it break, if there is an internal diagram that describe how that piece is connected to what that'll be great too 🙂

Remove set screws and remove the wind and rewind knobs and the dial on the top plate. Under the knobs you'll find 2 screws that hold the top cover on. (watch for the shutter release, it's 2 loose pieces). On the front, there are 4 screws under the leather at the sides of the shutter panel - remove these screws and the lens/shutter assembly lifts off to the front. Sorry, I don't have any notes on the inside of the top cover.
