Short review about the Leica Summicron-M 1:2/35mm ASPH. with real life results (no test charts). I've tried to show the versatility of the lens by showing different sorts of subjects, and different approaches with different types of Leica M cameras.

Please read here: http://jipvankuijk.nl/leica-summicron-m-35mm-f2-asph/

I'd be happy to receive comments and questions on my website or here on the forum.

LOL...

What on earth can possibly be gleaned from a camera enthusiast's "review" of a lens that is nearly 20 years old and has been proven to be excellent by many top pros who shoot for NG, Magnum, etc?

This whole "Internet Gear Review Hero" sensation just cracks me up, it's really about self indulgence than actual reviews now isn't it....

What on earth compels people to be grumpy *******s and discourage people from posting their personal experiences with a piece of equipment?

It's just really, really weird, like somehow it matters when at the end of the day, it does not. So it's like this new hobby of "Look at me, I review gear!" hahaha...

I'm not grumpy, I just amused and confused....this is the last piece of gear that needs a "Review", LOL!

Maybe it matters to him? Maybe it matters to me or someone else? Frankly, it's nice to see some 35 cron images shot on film that aren't from one of my dusty old magazines. Generally, people who blog about things are just getting their thoughts out of their head, and if someone reads it and appreciates it, more's the better.

I post my thoughts about the gear I own, photography, photo stuff in the news. I don't care if people read them or not, but they're out there if someone is looking for an unbiased opinion about something. I write from the perspective of a professional photographer, others write from the perspective of an amateur enthusiast, both perspectives are just as valid as anything written in a magazine.

There's a weird mentality amongst professional photographers (especially older ones) that somehow theirs is the only opinion that's worth hearing. I guess it's an arrogance left over from the film days when it was more difficult for an amateur with no training to take compelling images.
