I have just been revisiting my Canon G2 photos prior to my 1st DSLR [ Pentax K10D ] and they are perfectly acceptable on screen - I have not printed any .
In some respects the failure rate is lower maybe because I did not expect too much or push the boundaries .The screen is so tiny by current standards , but flips out for waist level shots .
I bought in reconditioned when the G3 came out - it was still quite expensive compared to a contemporary film SLR .
Make me wonder why I am uncomfortable with a simple compact Fuji FX1 in case I miss something where a larger sensor would be 'better'.
It has not happened yet , the FX1 is pretty OK for £150 !!
The I-phone SE is probably 'better' but less flexible of course .
Is anyone using an older quality compact which still works ?
