Thanks you so much to let me post my development blog posts here and all the up/down votes, comments, questions mean a ton for me to continue with this nova project.

People say “A photo is worth a thousand words.”
So what about a video?

I’m excited to share the very first video showcasing the Rewindpix Camera and its companion app in action:

Rewindpix camera companion app test video

  • Film Mode: unload roll, auto-apply pre-selected filters, customize filters, adjust photos in app.
All current test went smoothly and I couldn’t be more proud of my coder friends as they’re the living proof of why we call ourselves Homo sapiens.

Before I introduce the current App UI, I would like to announce a small landmark in Rewindpix history:

Rewindpix KS pre-launch page just went live!

Click "Notify me on launch" if you would like to extend your support/interest from here! Thanks

Current filter APP UI: (under development, some ugliness vibe as of now. Pls ignore all the 400TX film stocks, they are just the placeholder images for now)

  1. Landing page: Camera connection status, battery status, current film roll count, upload/load film roll and current selected 3 film mode filters

2. Film stock page - where pre-loaded and users' customized filters located. From this page, users can select next 3 filters for next film roll and click "+" sign into filter customize page

3. Photo and filter adjust/customize page - Here users can upload phone gallery photos to apply app filters or user can customize app filters and save as their own ones. Imagine infinite "Film filters" you can create based on your own vibe!

4. Darkroom - where the unloaded roll gets developed (App automatically apply the 3 filters users selected during the previous load roll action and filtered photos show up here as a roll of film, starting to appear from negative film effect). Then users save the whole roll into phone gallery

See photo in comment due to 3 pics constraint

As mentioned before, the companion app is still under development. Right now, color is the most “fun” playground, but we’re also experimenting with adding classic film-like touches: light leaks, authentic old-film timestamps (the kind burned onto negatives, not the white/yellow digital overlays), subtle textures, and maybe even halation effects.

(Or maybe that last one is just in my head: I keep seeing a glowing halo around my coder friend, but that could just be imagination.)

Will soon share second round of newly created filter effects, all critics welcome!
