I have an R, still in warranty, bought from CQ. The RF seems fine in the horizontal, but I think it's out a bit vertically, which I find makes it slightly trickier for me to focus.

Warranty treatment isn't really an option, as I don't fancy mailing it to the States and back for something so small, but I wouldn't mind paying to get it sorted - I know I could theoretically adjust it myself, but I'm fairly cack-handed and don't fancy my chances.

So... does anyone in the UK know someone who could line it up reliably for me?

My local repair guy suggested he could do it for about £25, but he also said he'd never worked on a Voigtlander. Am I daft to be concerned by that?

I don't want to pay a fortune, but that's balanced by the fact I want it done right.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Maybe try Robert White - No idea if there is a service department, but they have always been very good for buying CV gear from, and ultimately get things done in a timely and professional manner.

Post #1 is probably the safest option in the UK (Robert White points you in their direction if you ask them about repairs)... but since you're in Edinburgh too and if you're in a hurry, you might want to try JP Camera Repairs (64 Montrose Terrace) in Edinburgh. Have a chat with Joe and see if you feel happy he can do the work - he's a good guy and he's at least worked on one bessa-R before since he fixed a jammed shutter on mine about 2 weeks ago!
He's not exactly what you would call a slick-modern repair outfit but he's always come through for me so far.

You could try giving the guys at FFordes a call, they're also selling new Voigtlander stuff and are located in Beauly (maybe a good excuse for a daytrip to Inverness and get some good shots of Nessie 😀 ...?)
