I am veteran Leica RF user.

I'm becoming quite convinced that the RF of my M8 is consistently off.
Actual focus is a bit behind (further out) than the RF tells me.
A real agony for portraits where I'm particular about selecting the point of focus.
(according to RF)

So a series of wide open shots from a sturdy tripod seem to confirm.
Never dropped it. It happens with a variety of lenses.
Of course, this is highly pronounced with Summicron 90mm f 2.0 ASPH.
The VERY lens I prefer to use for portraits.

I'll take the M8 to local shop where I bought it, but just wondering if others have had such a problem.

If you do a search in the leica users forum for backfocus you'll get results showing how to adjust the RF. Just make sure it's the camera not a particular lens, ie if it's out of focus with all your fast lenses then most likely it's the body. If it's just one lens, then send it in for adjustment.
