I love my Bessa R and Bessa T, but Ive been thinking about getting a Bessa 3A for the AE and the 1:1 finder. Does the RF patch seem larger on these? I'll tell ya' -- I love my Bessa T, and I feel totally confident with that RF. Not as much with the R - at least with a fast 50 close up. I wind up taking more time with the R double checking focus, whereas with the T, it's so easy to pick out a tiny detail - I just focus once and shoot with confidence.

Is the R3A a little easier to focus?

Compared to the R, yes, the patch is larger, proportional with the increased magnification.

Not sure if the R3* is easier to focus than the T. Depends on the application I guess, since the T's EBL is longer.

Roland.

Thanks Roland,

I think the larger patch is what I'm looking for. With my Bessa R, (while it is a great camera for general photography) the mag is just too small for me lock on to an eyelash or a catchlight in the eye with fast 50 or longer.

Regards,
Chris L.
