I bought a Canon 7 recently from KEH camera, and as this is my first Canon LTM camera (I own several FSU, Canonets and Contaxs) I have no other canon rangefinder LTM's to compare the rangefinder patch with. I have read that the Canon silvered RF patchs fade with age, and I am trying to figure out if mine is a fading one. The RF patch on mine is about the same as my Konica S2 or Canonet QLIII, maybe a little bit less contrasty, of course. the Konica and the Canonet is yellow in color, and that may make them more Contrasty with the blue tinted glass rangefinders. I was at a local camera store today and was checking out a Leica M4 and a Bessa R, The RF patches were incredible contrasty, but I cant believe The canons 7 patches was anything as good as those camera's, but I don't know. Any advice on this matter? - Thanks Michael
