So I'm off to Paris for two weeks soon, and I'm taking my R-D1 with me. I don't envision having any problems, but just in case: anybody know of a shop in Paris that can perhaps do an RF alignment or other simple adjust/repair if I need one?

thanks,
Jonas

Hi Jonas,
It's my first post and I'am glad I can help after having read so much useful information here. There is Photo Suffren shop (
45 Avenue de Suffren 75007 PARIS that is in the 7th block/quarter/arrondissement - La Motte Picquet Grenelle or Dupleix metro station. phone 33 1 45 67 24 25 - fax 33 1 47 83 78 68 - http://www.photosuffren.com). I can't guess how fluent their English is but they are very nice and efficient. I bought there many Voigtlander items and the service is also very good. Just mind that they shall be closed for summer vacation from August 6 to 20.
Have a nice photographic stay in Paris (by the way all this is relevant only if we are dealing with Paris - France, isn't?). And what lens(es) will you shoot with? Also,
if you happen to catch a picture of a guy with two R-D1s around the neck, then it could be me!

Thanks for the info. I'm bringing my compact kit: VC 15, 28/3.5 and 40/1.4 Nokton. But then I tossed in the 35 lux ASPH because I couldn't bear to go completely Leica-less.

I'll actually have two R-D1 bodies with me as well. I always keep an eye out for anyone else with an R-D1 (or any RF for that matter). Perhaps I'll run into you!

I support K. 's advice. Photo Suffren is good ... maybe a bit expensive for American people ... but everything's more expensive here.
Have a good trip Jonas!
