I'll keep this simple because I'm not a fan of gear talk, and sifting through the entire history of RF cameras and their nuances makes me bang my head against the nearest wall (hey look, a perfect smiley! :bang🙂

1. I love 40mm and 28mm lenses. I don't stray much from those. I fell in love with 40mm on a Canonet and it feels perfect, where 35mm and 50mm feel a little off.

2. I very much dislike external viewfinders

3. I don't care if it has a meter or not, or even if it has one and doesn't work. I always use a handheld meter.

Is there anything that fits all these? Some long lost odd model Canon? A Bessa I failed to notice? Anything?

Thanks!

I've heard some really great things about the Minolta CLE. I think the Minolta CL/Leica CL are very similar, just no light meter (and it uses a mercury battery).

The Rollei 35 RF came with an interchangeable 40mm Sonnar and has 40mm framelines.

The Rollei XF 35 (and its sister model Voigtlander VF 135) has a fixed 40mm Sonnar (Skoparex for the Voigtlander).

The Zeiss Ikon Contessa S 312 (and its sister model Voigtlander VF110) has a fixed 40mm Tessar (Skopar for the Voigtlander).

These are the three that immediately come to mind.

Also, the non-rangefnder Rollei 35 cameras all came with 40mm lenses (Triotar, Tessar, Xenar and Sonnar).
