I got a bunch of them until I set my pop-up blocker to block all pop-ups from this site.

Thoughts:
For people without pop-up blocker it may be a pain as it launches quite a few annoying pop-ups. If keeping the map maybe place it under a link so that it's not on the main page (as it's size is also messing with how the whole page fits on my screen).

51 pins already. Neat to 'see' where we are though. Sorry to introduce a pop-up-prone tool here though.

I'm one of those with pop-up hell going on, but I really like the map. I'd like to see a link to it on the front page but not the map itself. I can deal with the popups if I knowingly go to check it out, but every time I hit refresh on the home page? That's a bit much...

Since uploading the new updates from Microsoft, with it's new firewall/pop-up protection, I've not seen one pop-up. Sometimes

Mozilla. Configure it to block popups from only approved sites, and voila, no more popups.

You have to delete your pin and create it again...

click on the original pin then select delete

Franks, double click on your pin, there you'll find the delete button

I can't find a delete option. Double clicking my pin brings up my info, but there is no delete option. I guess I don't need to change anything.
