All the members of the RFF Birmingham (the original one in the west midlands) chapter met at the Billesley Pub on Fri 23rd.
Both members brought some of their kits, with Hektor's Noctilux being the star of the evening.
Francesco tried the noctilux on his RD-1 and has been drooling since.
Focusing o the RD-1 was a bit of hit and miss, (more hit for Hektor more miss for Francesco) but the miss part was probably helped by the beers and the very dim lights.

Hi all, we had a good time with fgianni's (Ian) RD-1 and 40f1.4, very nice little lens, a sort of cross between 70's leitz 35f1.4 and 80's leitz 35f2, but with new millenium performance, - I wish I had one of those.
Focussing the Noctilux on the RD-1 was not as difficult as I expected, but was probably beginners luck !

p.s. just got back from London Heathrow, after seeing big son off to Darr es Salam and Tanzania with Leica IIIa + Summar, and Canon A1 with 500 Canon mirror.
