RFF book photo selection help please

Winter Walking - nice photo overall.

Cottage Life - love the composition.

1) Down by the Dock
2) Winter Walking
3) Protester
4) Perfect Day

In that order :)

I agree with Rover, either of those shots (down by dock and girls at fair) typifies rangefinder photography for me.

Protester is not spontaineous enough, cottage life shot reminds me of those ads life insurance companies place in magazines, despite being technically good photographs.

i like winter walking!!

but for down by the dock and perfect day which are my other 2 choices, I wonder if the negatives show details of the sky, I think it'll be great if the details can be brought out.

I've gotta go with Winter Walking and Perfect Day. They both have a certain timeless feel feel to them. Winter Walking, though, for some reason it just hits all the right notes for me.

Can't do that with this printing technique. (full frame)
I believe this was shot "from the hip" and besides, I think the tilt adds to the quirkiness of the image, (which is also why I printed it full frame.)

Sometimes it's okay to break those camera club rules.
