I turned off the classified comments so that everyone -- including the complainers who wanted classified comments without moderation -- would hopefully realize the RFF classifieds really worked pretty well as designed, so long as the guidelines were followed. Not that the RFF Classifieds are perfect, but they can work quite well.
The classifieds comments are now functioning again as usual.
Please do your part to make the RFF classifieds work better for everyone by following the classified guidelines.

I just sold the Canon 35/2 LTM. Was that coincidence? Thanks RFF.

The dilemma is that while for the former alcoholic the only answer is no alcohol, total prohibition is never the answer for a whole society.

Great! Comment feature is back, everybody is happy now.
However I do have a little question.
What is "PM sent" supposed to mean?
it is a message to the seller telling the obvious?
or it is a message to other potential buyers telling the untold?
or it is a record for the PM'er so remind himself/herself that he/she sent a message?
I honestly do not understand what 'PM sent' means, everytime I see such a message, I feel puzzled.
Sorry for being so low intelligent

sometimes the pm system is broken or somebody's inbox is full, so it just establishes a record of interest

In that case, shouldn't the "PM sent" comment only appears when either the PM system is broken or somebody's inbox is full? ie. when PM couldn't be sent
I have only encountered 1 such instance when the seller that I was in contact had the PM box filled up. So I notified him by commenting "your PM box is full". I had to do so because a PM could not be sent.
Either case, it doesn't seem a situation "PM sent" is used.

My M5s need red dots!
To me, "PM sent" sounds like "calling for dibs" (or something to that effect). From seeing that type of note I know that, if I'm interested on the item, there's serious competition.
Thanks, Stephen! I did miss not being able to post anything in the classifieds. Not that I do it all the time, but there are instances in which I like to think that a comment may help the seller move the wares.

BUMP.
11) DO NOT place negative comments about ads or auctions. Sellers are free to place their ads. Buyers are free to buy, or not buy. There is no need for animosity.

I assume someone was trying to warn RFF of an item that seems to be priced too highly?
