I can’t make it. 
But I highly recommended Lyon: a wonderful, atmospheric (the Traboules especially so), walkable city with plenty to interest the photographer.

Given a choice I'de prefer Durham or Cardiff, because they are beautiful, friendly and small-ish. More to the point I don't have to bother about ferries and drive on the wrong side of the road...
