RFF EuroMeet, Florence, April 10-11 2010

I have entered my "what gear am I going to bring phase" ... what a brainstorming ;)
I want to commit to one camera and 2 lenses. So if you see me arrive with more than that, I will have failed in my quest for simplicity.
 
Thanks Simon, only bring it if you were going to bring it anyway - I'll be bringing a borrowed 40/1.4 in any case.

My list of stuff to being is:

Rolleiflex 3.5F
M8 + 40/1.4, 21/4, 50/1.5
GF-1 + 20/1.7
 
sure!

my list currently says:

M4, M2 + 35mm f1.2, 50mm f1.5, 21mm f4
Mamiya 6 + 50mm, 150mm

Fuji GS645S and MDa + 15mm f4.5 are still being discussed :D

Simplicity eh? That's what I've been attempting in my plans for Florence. It was going to be just my M8, 28mm Hex, 35mm 'cron and a 50mm Planar...but then I thought about the batteries my M8 eats and decided an M6 would be sensible too...but then I have to include a 50mm 'Cron, 35mm Nokton and a load of both Delta 100 and TriX.

So if you see me arrive with just my camera phone you know I've given up completely:D
 
All this talk got me motivated....
Hmmm hmmm, I commit in front of the whole assembly that I will only use one camera and 2 lenses during the whole weekend (applauses please). M9 + 35 Lux Asph + 60mm Hexanon.
Iphone does not count as camera, does it ?

Kully, if it does rain, we will probably question your naked dancing abilities ...

Simon, stop chimping and one battery will be enough for the day ;)

That's impossible to me, I need to be loaded or I feel naked!

Planning to arrive in Florence saturday with M7, wife and the collapsible CV Heliar 50mm F2 I bought myself for X'mas and almost never used.
Not yet decided about film, if B&W or colour slides (yes, I still shoot slides) or why not Ektar ?
If everything ok see you on saturday

I read that the reliability of weather forecasts decreases by 20% every day out. So since we are 6 days in advance, I would not worry too much about it anyways. And since Kully must be undressing as I talk, even less.

For the friends who have time at the photography Museo Nazionale Alinari is an exhibition title is : Paris, capital of photography 1924-1940 with pictures of the photographer who, in the twenties, were sharing their art with the avanguarde artist.
Pictures by Florence Henri, Erwin Blumenfeld , André Kertès and Man Ray and other are on show. It sounds interesting.
