Why doesn't RFF have a nice personal favicon? Now it's the only Bookmark with a dull default blank icon. Perhaps something for a developers contest?

it doesnt do anything but it shows up if you bookmark a page and it shows up next to the url. It just looks cool. So now where you see the little world next to the url there could be a RFF logo

First suggestion.... This is a clipping from the logo on top of the screen. There are favicon generator java programs on the web (google..) that can convert this to a favicon.

favicons are a pain, coming from a part-time web editor. As has been stated, 16x16 pixels, and that's not a whole lot of room for what most people think of as an "icon."

A customer recently asked why HE didn't have one. Asked me to make one "from our logo." Hours of work later, I bill him for a tiny portion of the total hours for what he calls "two measly triangles." Yeah, I'm a big fan of "favicons" :/

I am not a digital artist 😀

Did the headmaster here indeed listen to my last year's plea for an RFF favicon? Since a couple of weeks I noticed that my bookmark for RFF in Firefox has a nice blue and red favicon icon. Has anybody else noticed that too? It's not the one I suggested above, but it's nice to see we have one now. Strange though that the icon is not shown on the address line in the browser.
