Yep, it's a simple matter of when. Given that they'll ship it right before our cruise, I think I'm going to put it off until after we return. Depends on how much pain I feel living with my 16G iPad for two weeks.

I have a I Pad - one and I will add a I Pad - two. Why, because it is the coolest computer I've ever seen, also being a artist it makes a fantastic digital drawing pad. Wifi, 3G, 2 cameras, touch screen, incredible screen resolution, Mac quality, a great way to carry a portfolio, and watch movies on the road, all for $500, what's not to like?
Lagging behind here... We have a friend who is even more a gadget-hound than my wife. She (the friend) got an iPad last year shortly after they were available. Was not planning on "upgrading" to an iPad 2 until I mentioned being interested in the older iPad.
We made a deal on her last-year iPad at half original price, delivery when she got the new one and transferred all her stuff. So in the past week I've been finding my way around my new/old iPad. In the meantime my wife succumbed to GAS and got an iPad 2, so we're pretty well equipped now! Though we're still using "dumb" phones...
