Everybody loves to comment on tests though.
this is fair comment, but quite honestly, personally I bought my cameras and lenses to take pictures with. As long as they do this to my satisfaction I am happy, I just don't have time to do,compare or even read extensive tests of lenses. I have far too many other things going on in my life🙄
As for worrying whether my Nokton is f1.5 or f1.6----------words fail me!!:bang:

i wish i could more like that.
seriously. i mean no disrespect at all.
i love to read about cameras and lenses and i too often wonder what 'that' camera would be like or 'that' lens.
i seem to build collections of gear and then sell them all and start over again.
35mm and medium format, brands etc. i like playing.
the only constant has been rangefinders as i have had at least one no matter what else i might be shooting with.
and it's kinda interesting because i'm not all that picky and am usually quite satisfied with whatever i'm using at the time. (except maybe that yashicamat😉)
anyway, it seems it takes all kinds; i just wish i could figure what kind i am...

What do you think about such an arrangement?

Tho this process makes one half of the final result we can watch on the monitor later I haven't read anything about this part of the test rules here. 😕 And don't forget the monitor calibration , otherwise the whole thing is just "playing lens test" .

Not everyone likes lens tests, but it is one of the favorite threads on RFF for many members here. Believe it or not, but I actually go out and take photos nearly every day.

I wasn't getting at you!
I just can't be bothered worrying whether a lens is 50mm or 50.1mm;f1.5 or f1.55, resolves 5lpm more or less than another, I'm sorry but I just feel well----------Get a life!!! 🙄 As for it being 4.30am in ScoTTland wherever that is, well getting up early for work or catching the early light has been a habit of a lifetime.
I think i will unsubscribe now from this thread!!

People know the limitations pointed out by you [and many others], but when viewing results of several lenses, these results sometimes reveal to the viewer certain features.
