On July 28, 2003 Jorge Torralba registered and founded RFF. As I am writing this, we are 112,722 threads and 1,903,520 posts later.

I bought RFF from Jorge in January 2007, keeping him on as RFF's 2nd Admin and Tech guy.

I would like to invite designs RFF 10th Anniversary for

Soft Releases made by Tom A
Coffee Mugs
Hats

With luck we can make these happen!

I am asking for suggestions on designs for the soft release, coffee mugs, hats, and t shirts.

Tom will make the softies.

I hope to have commercial services make the mugs, hats and tshirts, you can just order from them.

Please submit designs into this thread.

It will be some time until the new items are actually available for delivery.

Wow, has it been that long? I joined in 2005 owning only one camera, a Yashica GT.

Now I have 13 cameras of various types & formats, but my most favored is my Leica M2...... All down to Rff for really invigorating my interest in photography into the passion that it is now.

Thanks to both Jorge & Stephen, and the many many wonderful members on this forum which has become almost a 2nd home for me... 🙂
 
I became a member just a little over a year after the site started, back in October of 2004. I left for over a year when I went completely digital back in early 2007 and sold all of my rangefinder film cameras, but I eventually came back because of the quality of the photography presented here and because of the wealth of information on this forum.

I would really like to be able to purchase some type of hat- not a ball cap, but some sort of a hat with a wide brim for shooting outdoors in the hot sun.
 
I came in at the end of 2004...I never knew the start date of RFF...I thought it was around long before I got here...

Yes, thank you to all involved in running RFF. I have joined many other photography forums and left practically all of them. IMO they didn't offer the quality offered by RFF.

It seems so long ago that there were only a couple handfuls of active members and we didn't own Leicas. We have all grown.

OK, who has some design ideas for that coffee cup?
 
Cool stuff! Congratulations!

I'd love a mini softie, I really like the previous one so it'd be cool to keep along with the simple design.

As for the mug, maybe something giving a nod to film?
 
Awesome idea and congratulations to everybody for making this place what it is.....I'm not good at designing stuff but I will definetly see what I can think up and try to submit something ....

Congratulations Stephen and Jorge. This has become THE place on the web for our ilk. Well done.

I second Rick's thought about the wide brim hat... perhaps a high-quality sailing hat in the Tilley design?
 
Congrats guys. Excellent site with many, many excellent members.

I'd be in on a stylish new softie for my big Fuji. My last softie came off while shooting and I've missed it since. Woo!

Slightly confused, is this open for designing said items or is this a request for those who can/ability to create the items to submit services? Having missed out on the whole last batch of items 😉 i'd like to just see what's what.

Congrats to Jorge and Stephen. And, frankly, all of the moderators! By all of your efforts, y'all have made this a pretty good place to hang out at. Thank you all.

I read Stephen's post as inviting design ideas, Iam.

I'll be trying to put together some ideas and if they look OK, I will post 'em here.
As to hats, I really liked the hat we were offered last time--2005?--and think that design would be good again.

Can they be powder coated white, reversed out. A white softie would be nice!

I personally discovered RFF in 06, It has proven to be a great resource & community. Also continues to fuel my GAS!!
