Richard Nordin Hasselblad Compendium 2nd edition, 2011
In the German Hasselblad forum yesterday a hint was given that the second edition of Richard Nordins “Hasselblad System Compendium” will appear “late June” *
One of the members of the German Hassi forum has read the final corrections at eastern – so the date might be not so wrong : )
Why I post I here – and not in the “Evil-SLR“ or “120” forum which would better fit to a Hassi?
The book has three parts (Pre 1957 Hassis, Hasselblad V –System 1957-2011, XPan + H-System) and one part is dedicated to the X-System (see below) .
Nordin is known for his exact way of work, the first edition (sold out since a long time) is known for the exactness and historical details. The second edition is improved (so the correction reading forum member) and has supplementary documents on a DVD.
Included are all the production cameras, lenses and accessories as well a many rare and unusual items. 1120 photographs are included to augment the text. Tables of equipment codes and information on production numbers and dates of manufacture are provided.
The included DVD contains much additional information including instruction books, factory brochures and catalogs, related documents
So I expect a good source about the historical and technical background of our XPan system.
* I won’t wonder if it is early September – Books are never appearing at the promised time 😀
