The trigger wind makes it a lot faster than my Leicas..

Yea, the trigger winder does work well. Some say the lens is not so good but no complaints from here. It is just a very well built FLRF. You could always put a winder on the Leicas to get them to work as fast as the Ricoh 35 (insert smiley).

Colyn I have the Ricoh 35 De Luxe with the 45mm 2.8 lens . it was my Fathers .
well built and very sharp, and yes the trigger winder is nice.

Have seen a couple, have one that is working fine, seems a nice camera, but it should not be a surprise, Ricoh made a lot of cameras.

I tried one roll through it and they look good though I have not scanned any of the frames yet.
