RICOH 500RF Help!

Hi!

I just received a Ricoh 500RF in the mail that I purchased on eBay. The camera is in pretty good condition, but I think it needs new light seals (they have gone gummy).

From some other posts that I have read it appears that this is fairly simple - does anyone out there have instructions for how to do this?

Should be pretty much the same procedure for your camera. I've successfully replaced the light seals of several inexpensive rangefinder cameras (e.g. Yashica Electro) using simple foam rubber as the base material.

Jon Goodman's seal material is pretty good.
I can never remember his website but do a Google.

I found resealing takes far longer than you can imagine. It took me nearly 2 hours to get all the sticky off my Oly RC. One of the troubles was actually seeing what I was doing - black seal on black paint!
