Hi all,
Just a quick question - I recently got my hands on a very nice Ricoh FF-70. Really impressed with the built quality.
My only problem is I can't figure out how to switch the thing off!
The LCD display is preeminently on when it has batteries in it.
Am I being daft, or is the only way to save battery power is to take the bloody things out every time I put it away?!

The latter. Even though, I've had the battery in for at least a year, and it's still showing "Full".
Great camera! I did a little reveiw for my blog not so long ago ... (Actually the ff90, but as far as I can work out they are the same)

pro cameras don't need to take LCD off hehe
that lens is everything I'd want from a pocket 35mm lens, I wonder about people paying big $$ for Yashica T4/5 - someone has got more money than sense.

Lovely output from your camera - what film did you use. I have an FF9 that I have not used for a while - will dust it off this week.

My T4 was £14, this doesn't bode well for my sense levels

Yes I did, and your review was what in convinced me to buy it!
It's good to know that it won't drain the batteries in a fortnight if I leave them in.
I can't wait to see how the first roll turns out.

The problem with the t4/5 is definitely the price ... But pretty much everything else about it is right! I've sent mine traveling around the world, it's only been to 4 people so far, but 1 of them has gone on to buy there own, and another remains tempted... The other two loved it too! It might be expensive, but it really is a great camera!

Thanks! The film was xp2, I shoot a lot of the stuff through these compacts ... Mostly through being lazy

Yeah mine is in the draw at work, still showing off with that over sized screen!
I'd love to see the results! Will you add a link to some in the comments on the blog?
