Ricoh GR - has your charging port cover ever stretched?

As you all know, the ricoh GR charges through USB, making me open the port cover every time I want to charge it.

I've had bad experiences with the port covers on my nikon bodies stretching and having to replace them, and I don't want to repeat the same thing on this.

Was considering getting an external charger just to avoid this issue, but wanted to know if anyone had the issue in the first place.

I got my GR soon after the release. I don't baby the GR at all, and has been charging through USB (recently I got 3rd party charger). So far the port cover is securely in place.

Nope, never been any issue for me.

Can't say I've had any issues either in the 2+ years I've had it..

No problem with mine. But Sigma DPMs use the same battery, so I tend to charge the shared batteries through my 2 Sigma chargers. There are probably some cheap variants on this charger available online as a backup.
