I really do like the lens on the GR, there's a clarity to pics with it that makes it always enjoyable to look at a GR thread.

There was a very brief period where you got to choose between a lei, a luau or a GR on arrival in Lihue. Sadly, I had already bought my GR, so I settled for the pig picking. Live aloha!

I love this camera. It has reconciled me with using the screen. It is an arm's length camera anyhow: your body becomes a crane. a liberating camera.

Welcome to the NS GR thread, Lukitas. Now you must come to Kauai. A 28mm optical viewfinder (and/or 35mm for crop mode) is a nice tool to have when you want to eyeball things, and have your aperture/speed/focus set.

It's a camera... of course it can be used for other photos.

man, great photos in this thread. similarly, i use my GR as more of a documentary camera than a dedicated street camera. It seems to do everything but telephoto really really well.

Glad to have found this thread. I'm starting on some world travel adventures soon, fretting about which camera to take. I've been leaning towards sticking to just the GR, nothing else. So I'm starting to try it out for more than just street photography and I'm liking it so far.
