Ricoh GRII is still worth?

for about 200$ i can get GRD II in great shape with big list of yummy things: 2 viewfinders (RICOH GR DIGITAL VF-1 + 21/28 GV-1), wide conversion lens RICOH GR DIGITAL 0,75X GW-1 and others small accessories (hoods, covers)

I read the reviews and nobody say good about the sensor of this camera. Currently i use Fuji X20. I didn't think what i win with quality but may be it will be other shooting experience?

I'm in search a digital analog for my Fuji Klasse W (mostly shot in snap mode than with AF). May be if i don't like the camera i can leave all accessories and sell II for III or IV model?

It's a great little camera and 200 dollars seems about right for this full set, supposing it is 100% functional and well cared for. It's very nice for street and black and white work, has a small sensor so that limits its possibilities a bit.

It's a great camera, just make sure you turn the noise reduction to minimum.

It's not the most popular of the GRDs, because the Noise Reduction won't turn off, and some feel it can affect that film like rendering that the camera gives in BW.

I have one and love it.

I wouldn't think the small sensor really would be an issue, to me the DOF has always been spot on in the GRDs, you won't be doing super narrow DOF bokehfests, but it's a 28mm, so that's not what you buy it for anyway.
For me the DOF has always been great for street use. (I'm seriously tempted by the GRF V but also curious as to whether the APS-C sensor will require a lot of adjusting to because of the different DOF capabilities.

The only area that you might find an issue is high ISO perfomance.
It's not the youngest camera, so don't expect to he using super high ISO.
I don't let mine go above 400, because that's where the images look best to me (admittedly personal preference).

Sorry for hijacking, but it's been on my mind for a while! Out of curiousity, how much is a Ricoh GRD 1 worth? I've been dying to try one.

I owned a GRD3, and I liked it a lot... but it always sat unused next to the X100 and Leica M8. It wasn't quite "high quality" and it wasn't really "lo-fi" either... it rendered beautifully but it wasn't my taste. I really like the look of the grain from the original GRD, though I haven't been able to find one lately...

I could always use a cheap digital P&S! If anyone has one they're looking to offload for a budget price, I'm game!

I wouldn't pay much for a GRD1 nowadays but they do make very film like files.

I can't speak for the robustness of the GRD II, but I shot with the III for a good three years and only experienced one hiccup with it. And that was when shooting video for about twenty minutes. Apart from that, the III was a very reliable camera, even after thousands and thousands of shutter actuations and lens extensions.

I shudder at how badly Tokyo Camera Style treats his GRs. I've had mine in a pocket or bag for ages and it looks nothing like that, although I never put it with anything else, and I have an Acmaxx solid plastic LCD protector on it.

I don't even treat the soles of my shoes that poorly.

I have had several Ricohs and have never had a problem.

I think that Wide-angle conversion lens don't work on III & IV, but only on I & II...No problem with the finder, I use the GV1 on my GRDIII.
Better if you check Ricoh site...
