Hi all

I have been considering to use my current M Mount module (GXR) with an adaptor to use my Nikon F Mount lens. Would anyone like to share their experience and feedback on this set up?

The general idea is to use the GXR as a micro/nature set up, opening up my options of lens not only to my M mount, but also my Nikon lens.

Thanks!

I would suggest using the evf for macro work. It can be angled and makes things easier.

You may need to try more than one adaptor. I found one of the Chinese m-mount adaptors not to spec.

The 50mm module is also a very good macro unit and balances well with the gxr body.

I am actually very greedy, as I already own the 50/2.5 Macro, 28/2.5 and the M mount.

With my intent to add the M to F adapter, I am hoping to expand the use of my Nikon lens and GXR set-up. The thing with adapters is that these are not very common, and I have not heard much about them used by Ricoh users.

Works great! I would suggest a good adapter. I would suggest the Fotodiox to try the set-up to see how you like it. If it works well upgrade the adapter to a Kipon or Novoflex since they are so much nicer and solid feeling. If not than you are only out $30 or so for the adapter and lesson learned.

I see all of your lenses have an aperture ring so that makes things easier. If not than you will need to get the Nikon G to M adapter.

Wow thank you guys for the sharing.

I am hoping to use my Nikon 105/2.8 (micro), 50/1.2AIS, 180/2.8 AFD on the GXR. In addition, I also have the Nikon BR2 Reverse Mount adaptor, that will allow me to use my Nikon 35/2AFD for 3-4 times magnification! Whoohoo!

So I guess I should hunt down the Fotodiox, Kipon or Novoflex adapters.

I really enjoy the colours of the GXR, but the real advantage of the Ricoh's is the software. Absolutely amazing.
