Went to see Lefthand Freddy last night, at the Assen Bluesnight, my home town.

I brought the Ricoh GXR-M and my Summilux 1.4/35mm pre-asph. Nothing more. Well, whiskey money...:D

All shots at 2500 ISO, f2.0 or f2.8, generally 1/60th. Minor Lightroom tweaks on brightness, clarity, strong contrast and a bit curve tweaking where necessary.

Johan!
Dead brilliant!

Thanks a lot. You remembered me how fine my GXR is in high Iso and B/W.

Great.

Great shots Johan!

Didn't know you have the GXR, that is a camera I keep promising myself to check out.

Thanks people. I loved shooting the show and am happy with the results!

There's a kit identical to mine in the Classifieds now, no relation to seller. Just to let you guys know. I can advise on how to configure the camera for best shooting experience.

Neato, Johan. I can't afford a lux for the gxr but now have a fujinon equivalent on the xe1, so the gxr can be more of a daylight cam....

Thanks for the praise dear fellow RFF'ers, it makes me suspect I am on the right track with my current shooting

Much appreciated! I'll post more in the Ricoh forum whenever I have something worth showing.

lovely shot johan, and a good capture at 1/60. i myself have gotten surprisingly good b&w results at high iso with the gxr. although i have tweaked my settings a few times to get where i am, may i tale you up on your offer to share your settings? i am always interested in how colleagues get the results they do, and what they choose to tweak with their tools.

also, my assumption is you have not had the same experience shooting color with the gxr in these conditions, is that correct?
thanks
tony
