So it was cold in Alberta the other day, was it? Well today in Ottawa, we are enjoying the delightful combination of snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, and regular old rain drops, all over the span of about 10 or 12 hours! :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: It's like a demonic symphony out there: each movement is worse than the last. At least you can go outside to take photographs of your cold snowy city. I'm stuck indoors!

Just venting. It's simply awful out there today.

Dramatic and extreme weather conditions make for some very intresting pictures. What are you doing indoors? Get out there. Everyone knows that a Leica can take a beatin' and keep on tickin'. :bang:;):bang:;)

It was 78 F in North Carolina yesterday :) Margaritas anyone?

If I put some tequila and a bit of mix in a glass and held it outside my window for a minute or two, I could make one of the best margaritas you've ever tasted, no blender required!

MAybe try doing some still llifes of just shooting around the house.

And I was hoping that some good soul out there would offer to send me a nice new black MP, you know, just to cheer me up! ;)

Just torrential rain and heavy winds here in Steeltown, dark as hell too. Some of our US neighbors are getting blizzards....heh heh (oops, sorry).

Hey ... on wednesday here it was 38 deg C ... that's about 105 degF I think! (correct me if I'm wrong)

Two weeks ago we had a hail storm! .......What climate change?

You live in Ottawa and don't like hail and freezing rain???

Nope, much prefer the cold, clear, snowy days of winter. You only get hail and freezing rain when the temperature is near zero. Usually it's much colder here in the world's second coldest national capital (bonus points if anyone knows which city is number one on that list).

Perfect drinking weather! Jack Daniels anyone?

At this point, I wouldn't say no...

I hardly ever shoot still lives. And when I do, they are usually utter failures. But maybe the Jack would help...;)

May I recommend Casa Noble Anejo for the occasion. Don't bother with the margarita though, just sip the stuff. Liquid heaven.

What started as just me venting seems to be turning into a very informative thread.;)
