My little Ricoh 300 was a bit messed up when I got it, with the winder being all jammed up. While fixing that, it developed a burr that caused a shutter jam. So I fixed that, and everything seemed to be fine after I got it back together, and ran a couple rolls of film through it (B&W or color, the 2.8/45 Riken Ricoh is a performer). After letting it sit a month or two, I decided to give it some excersize, and the shutter was jammed again.

Opened it up this morning, and fixed the jam, though I'm still not quite sure what was hung up. After a couple dozen actvations, it seems okay, so I put it back together, and exersized it some more. So far, so good.

I really like this camera, because it has the more conventional film winding arrangement with a swing open back, unlike the bottom trigger on my Five-One-Nine with the back that comes off. So does anyone else have reliability issues with Riken shutters? I put a lot of effort into getting this camera looking and working good, and wouldn't want to have to shelve it.
